Torque flow pump

The torque flow pump is also referred to as vortex flow pump Its hydraulic power (see pump power output) is transmitted to the fluid handled by a rotating disc provided with ribs (free-flow impeller). See Fig. 1 Torque flow pump

This free-flow impeller is particularly suitable for use in pulp pumps and waste water pumps. As the impeller only acts indirectly on the fluid handled, the risk of clogging and sensitivity to gas in the fluid are reduced.
