Reduction of impeller vane diameter
This form of impeller trimming involves the reduction of the impeller vane tips on centrifugal pumps equipped with diffusers.
The impeller shrouds remain untrimmed for reasons of the hydraulic interaction between the impeller and diffuser. To establish the impeller vane diameter reduction necessary, the requirements mentioned under impeller trimming should be referred to. See Fig. 1 Impeller trimming
