KSB hosts comprehensive workshop for Indonesian power plants, welcoming over 50 attendees across Indonesia

KSB Indonesia, a leading pump and valve supplier as well as service solutions provider, successfully hosted a two-day workshop for the power plant on July 24-25, 2024, in Surabaya. The event brought together a diverse group of key stakeholders from Indonesia's power generation sector, including representatives from Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle Plants (PLTGU/Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas dan Uap), (PLTM/Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro), (PLTA/Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Air), (PLTU Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap), (PLTD/Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Diesel), and (PLN Nusantara Power/PLN NP, and PLN Nusantara Power Services/PLN NP Services). Participants hailed from various regions across Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Maluku, and Nusa Tenggara.

The workshop aimed to enhance the efficiency and reliability of power plant operations through KSB’s comprehensive pump solutions and services. KSB experts shared their knowledge on critical topics such as pump selection, condition monitoring, and comprehensive after-sales support. Interactive sessions allowed participants to exchange experiences, address challenges, and gain valuable insights from both industry peers and KSB professionals.

Budiyanto kicked off the event with a comprehensive overview of KSB Indonesia. A key highlight of the workshop was presented by Jochen Behrle, representing KSB Energy Global, who offered a global perspective on the energy market and KSB’s commitment to delivering efficient and reliable pumping systems. Aditiya Permana, representing KSB for eastern Indonesia, offered practical guidance on pump selection for diverse power plant applications.

Deepen the knowledge of KSB's comprehensive services solutions with sessions from KSB SupremeServ, covering service and maintenance by Sunarno whilst Reverse Engineering (RE), System Efficiency Services (SES), KSB Guard, and mechanical seal were shared by Dani Fitroh. Santanu Nugraha provided valuable insights on KSB valve selection, and the workshop further addressed KSB’s extensive after-sales services and solutions to complete the knowledge transfer in this workshop.

On the second day of the workshop, participants were divided into groups to delve deeper into practical applications aimed at optimizing power plant operations. They engaged in interactive sessions focused on strategies to enhance the performance of critical pump systems, including Boiler feedwater (BFW) pumps, Cooling water pumps (CWP), and Condensate extraction pumps (CEP). The interactive discussions were lively, with participants eagerly sharing their specific challenges and insights.

This 2-day workshop received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees through the questionnaire, highlighting its success and the industry's need for continued collaboration with KSB. Participants expressed satisfaction with the event and a strong interest in future initiatives.
