KSB completes manufacturing expansion in Indonesia
KSB is very proud to officially announce the completion of its manufacturing expansion and new SupremeServ Workshop in Cibitung, Indonesia. The EUR 3.9 million expansion emphasizes KSB’s commitment to sustainable development, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering service excellence for our customers.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia provides a tremendous opportunity for investment as Indonesia’s economy is expected to grow by 5.0% in 2022 and 5.2% in 2023 as according to a report by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). KSB continues to initiate the efforts in providing facilities and support as well as superior service in response to growing market demand for larger equipment and facilities in Indonesia.
On October 18, 2022, the manufacturing expansion and new SupremeServ Workshop in Cibitung, Indonesia was officially inaugurated by Dr.-Ing. Stephan Bross, Managing Director of KSB Management SE responsible for Production, Technology and Digital Transformation, Andre Richter, Regional Executive Officer, KSB South Asia and Pacific, and Philippe Olivier, Managing Director, KSB Indonesia, also attended by Ir. Herman Darnel Ibrahim M.Sc. IPU, Member of DEN, the Indonesia National Energy Council, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The Cibitung plant has completed upgrades from 3,620 sqm to 9,620 sqm with new facilities including larger assembly larger Assembly area for DnD (Dewatering and Dredge pump set), standard pumps, and engineered pumps, sandblast room, and painting booth room as well as two floors of SupremeServ office completed with 2.000 m2 service workshop, new 20t overhead crane and 2X 500kg jib crane.
The expansion is expected to increase production capacity by 50% in 2023 while double the capacity of SupremeServ, in terms of service, maintenance, pump rental and solution, over 2021. As Philippe Olivier, Managing Director, KSB Indonesia said, “The manufacturing expansion and new SupremeServ Workshop are part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable development as well as our initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction. Despite the pandemic, we are optimistic that market opportunities in Indonesia are still widely open. We continue to optimize local resources through the domestic component level (TKDN) and more opportunities for employment in taking part and contributing to Indonesia’s economic development.”
