Product Development Engineer

Summary of Job description

  • Perform following activities under guidance:
    • Conduct conceptual design studies pre-development/during development.
    • Study of Functional requirement specification “Lastenheft” & preparation of Technical Specification “Pflichtenheft”.
    • Guiding team(s) for various projects / assignments.
  • Providing 3D CAD models and technical drawings for foundry and manufacturing
  • Prepare/ Review / verify Design calculations, and provide inputs to Assistant Design Engineers & CAD Engineers.
  • Providing technical data and documents for manufacturing and for technical and commercial documentation                  
  • Checking and treatment of offer permit requests
  • Supporting other departments like Product Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Purchase, After Sales in case of technical questions. Preparing information for  configuration – Production & Sales.
  • Carrying out design checks according to relevant norms and regulations ( like CE, ACS, VdS, ErP … ) and prepare required documentation to assure conformity.
  • Monitor and review the budget, schedule and result of entrusted projects

Qualification and experience

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering with more than 3 years of Experience.

Knowledge / skills required

  • Good engg. and design skills with sound knowledge about pump  design         
  • High independence of operation and reliable functioning
  • Ability and willingness to guide others
