Mr. Shashikant Desale

I joined KSB in 1998 as a Trainee Engineer in the Quality department at KSB Nashik & I am happy to share my journey with KSB through this KSBian speaks platform. 

I have witnessed the transformation journey of KSB from traditional manual working to the digital era & it has been a wonderful experience for me. I still remember the days when we used to write an internal memo to a person in a department. Every person used to sign each of those internal memos & used to forward them to the concerned person in the communication chain. During those days, very few people had computers with a windows operating system (OS) and so we used to wait for our turn to access the computer to make an MIS report. Today almost everyone has their own individual laptops for official use, we have come so far since those days!!

I have had many "first time in my life experiences while working with KSB, be it my first AC train travel, my first ever airplane journey, or my first international travel to KSB Pegnitz. Even my first trek to Kalsubai peak, the highest peak in Maharashtra was with the KSB team, KSB has always been there with me & I hope it will always be with me throughout my professional career.

KSB has not only made me a professional engineer but also a social person with a lot of other lifelong experiences. What we learned in college was just the theory but it is KSB we got a chance to apply that theory practically. We can find almost every type of engineering process in KSB, right from design, metallurgy, simulation, manufacturing, assembly, testing etc.

Manufacturing/ Machining: We have almost every type of machine available on our shop floors right from a lathe machine to modern giant VTLS.

Metallurgy: KSB supplies its products in almost all types of metallurgy right from MS to Duplex.

Design & Technology: KSB Tech helps us to design our products on the latest software. We also use various simulation software to understand the performance of our parts during various stress conditions, cooling patterns for our cast products at KSB Foundry etc, even before the actual product is manufactured!!

Testing: Our state-of-the-art manufacturing plants have a dedicated test setup to confirm that our products meet the various set specifications during the design stage.

With the various products being offered for all applications, one can proudly say that KSB is a one-stop solution for any requirements when it comes to fluid handling!!

KSB is achieving new heights every year & I wish that KSB becomes the No.1 player in the Pumps and Valves market. I can say on behalf of every employee that we are proud of Management's focused efforts aimed towards becoming the most preferred brand when it comes to Pumps and Valves!!
