KSB Group's Top Executives Meet with Shanghai Vice Mayor and Minhang District Party Secretary Chen Yujian
Shanghai, China - July 17, 2023 - Mr. Oswald Bubel, Chairman of the Administrative Board of KSB Group, Dr. Stephan Timmermann, CEO of KSB Group, and Mr. Jun He, President of KSB Asia North, visited the Minhang District Government in Shanghai. They were warmly received by Mr. Chen Yujian, Vice Mayor of Shanghai and Party Secretary of Minhang District, and Mr. Tan Ruicong, Deputy District Mayor, along with other government officials. Mr. Jiongyi Zhu, Ms. Yanran Teng, and Mr. Weidong Qian also attended the meeting.
During the cordial meeting, Vice Mayor Chen highlighted the Shanghai government's comprehensive efforts in urban planning, infrastructure development, industrial upgrading, and environmental protection, emphasizing the city's commitment to creating an open, inclusive, and business-friendly environment. He pointed out that Shanghai is accelerating the construction of "Five Centers", aligning perfectly with KSB Group's development goals. He noted that Minhang District is promoting the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing industry, which resonates with KSB's strategy of focusing on quality and technology. He also acknowledged KSB's dedication to digitalization, green development, sustainability, and its active fulfillment of social responsibilities. Furthermore, he congratulated KSB on the opening of its Shanghai chemical engineering pump plant and expressed his best wishes for even greater success in the next 30 years.
Dr. Timmermann stated that despite the challenges in the international market, KSB, with its 153-year history, remains committed to increasing investment in the Chinese market. KSB considers Minhang its home and is eager to share development opportunities with the district.
Mr. Bubel expressed his sincere gratitude for the policy support and excellent business environment provided by Minhang District over the years, recognizing them as key factors in KSB's rapid and high-quality development. This being his first visit to China, Mr. Bubel remarked that despite the short two-day trip to Shanghai, he was deeply impressed by the city's unique charm and strength. Following the meeting, Vice Mayor Chen presented KSB with a unique and commemorative gift to celebrate the 30th anniversary of KSB Pumps in Shanghai. The gift symbolized both recognition of past achievements and encouragement for future endeavors. The entire KSB team was deeply honored and grateful, expressing their commitment to continue working hard for the company's prosperity and development.
