KSB Group and Shanghai Electric Group: 30 Years of Partnership and Deepening Localization
On July 17, Oswald Bubel, Chairman of the Administrative Board of KSB Group, led a delegation to visit Shanghai Electric Group's headquarters. He held a productive meeting with Wu Lei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors and reached several agreements.
During the talks, Chairman Wu warmly welcomed Mr. Bubel and his team, briefing them on Shanghai Electric's recent developments. He emphasized that the close 30-year partnership between KSB and Shanghai Electric has made significant contributions to China's nuclear energy industry and infrastructure construction. Chairman Wu expressed hope that the two companies would build on their existing collaboration to further expand cooperation, jointly develop core products tailored to the Chinese market, provide localized solutions, and actively explore emerging industries.
Mr. Bubel stated that KSB Group has always placed high importance on the Chinese market, achieving remarkable results in recent years through collaborations with Chinese enterprises like Shanghai Electric. In response to China's strategy of fostering new quality productive forces, KSB will further accelerate the localization of its operations in China. Mr. Bubel expressed confidence in the future of their partnership, looking forward to strengthening cooperation in the nuclear energy sector while leveraging their respective strengths to expand into areas such as chemical engineering, shipbuilding, and hydrogen energy. He emphasized KSB's commitment to continuous innovation to better meet the demands of the Chinese market.
The meeting was also attended by Jin Xiaolong, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Electric Group, Dr. Stephan Timmermann, CEO of KSB Group, and Ralf Kannefass, CSO of KSB Group, among other senior executives.
