KSB Group CEO Dr. Timmermann stated that the high-quality transformation in China in recent years has provided a new growth engine for the development of the KSB Group. KSB has always attached great importance to the Chinese market and has strong confidence in it. In addition, Dr. Timmermann has emphasized on multiple occasions KSB's commitment to environmental and social responsibility, applauding the advanced nature and outstanding achievements of China's "3060 goals." He pledged that KSB will actively engage in philanthropic efforts aimed at protecting the Earth's environment and natural resources in the future.

As one of the benchmark enterprises in the global manufacturing industry, KSB formed a connection with the Minhang Development Zone in 1994. Li Rui, Deputy District Mayor of Minhang District, Shanghai, reflected on Minhang's efforts to promote the high-end, digital, green, and sustainable development of the manufacturing industry. He fully acknowledged KSB's outstanding performance in empowering advanced manufacturing and its continuous contributions to sustainable development. Li Rui expressed expectations that KSB will bring more and better products and technologies in the future, further meeting the expectations of the Chinese market and Chinese customers.

Over the past nearly 30 years of dedicated presence in China, KSB Pump has emerged as one of the domestic leaders in the manufacturing of pumps and valves, offering a broad product range and boasting the highest technological expertise in providing solutions. Feng Xiaoming, the Party Secretary and Executive Director of Shanghai Land Minghong (Group) Co., Ltd., shared the story of the Minhang Development Zone's journey alongside KSB. He believes that the Shanghai KSB's integrated photovoltaic grid-connected power generation project is another vivid practice of collaborative efforts between the industrial park and enterprises to achieve energy conservation and carbon reduction. This initiative responds to the national strategies of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, deeply embodies the principles of the new development concept, and serves as an active exploration of a new model for green and low-carbon development.

KSB is not only a witness to sustainable development but also an active participant. Mr. Yao Mengxing, the General Manager of Shanghai KSB Pump Co., Ltd., stated, "The Shanghai KSB photovoltaic power generation project is not only in response to the national call but also aligns with the KSB Group's goal to reduce corporate carbon emissions by 30% by 2025 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. Green and sustainable development is a long-term strategy for Shanghai KSB. Upon completion of the photovoltaic power generation project, we will continue to actively expand the application of supply chain, logistics transportation, product design, and emission reduction measures throughout the product lifecycle to ensure sustained, green, and efficient development."

In recent years, China has vigorously promoted new technologies and applications such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence. The digital construction has achieved positive results, and KSB has similarly kept pace with the times, carving out its own space in digital development. On the scene, Mr. Liu Baiyu, the IT Director of KSB North Asia, presented a demonstration of the "Smart Factory." Developed by KSB, the software integrates various functions, including digital twins, factory energy management, and intelligent security. This demonstration showcased the robust digital capabilities of KSB.

According to the introduction, in 2023, KSB collaborated with Shanghai Longzhan to utilize solar panels installed on the roofs of factory buildings. The plan is to install 8,787 solar panels (600 watts per panel) on the roofs of 13 buildings, with a total area of 45,674 square meters. The estimated total solar power generation over the 25-year contract period is about 130 million kWh, of which approximately 117 million kWh will be consumed by the factory, covering 50% of its total electricity consumption. The remaining power will be fed back to the national grid.

The first phase of the project was completed in September 2023, covering 12 buildings with a total area of 37,954 square meters and installing 7,287 solar panels. The annual electricity generation is approximately 4,410,000 kWh. The second phase is expected to be completed in May 2024, involving the installation of 1,500 solar panels on the roofs of new PCC buildings, covering an area of approximately 7,000 square meters, with an estimated annual electricity generation of about 900,000 kWh.

Finally, Mr. He Jun, Executive President of KSB North Asia, delivered the concluding speech for this event. He stated, "Shanghai KSB adheres to three major development strategies: localization, digitalization, and sustainability. These strategies have guided the development direction of Shanghai KSB over the past four years. In terms of domestic investment, the investment in the past four years is 2.5 times the total investment in the past 24 years. This clearly demonstrates that KSB is deeply rooted in the market. Moreover, we are combining digitalization with sustainability, placing us at the forefront of the electromechanical field."
