Summary of Job description

  1.  Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure that electric motors meet specified quality standards and requirements.
  2. Quality Control Processes: Develop Quality control processes throughout the manufacturing or assembly process of electric motors, including incoming materials inspection, in-process inspections, and final product testing.
  3. Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements for raw materials, components, and parts used in electric motors. Conducting audits and assessments to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
  4. Product Testing and Validation: Establish testing protocols and procedures to validate the performance, durability, and safety of electric motors. Analyze test data and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues or defects in electric motors to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  6.  Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and compliance documentation. Generate reports and communicate quality performance metrics to management and relevant stakeholders.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, efficiency, and reliability of electric motors. Implement best practices and adopt new technologies or methodologies to drive quality excellence.
  8. Conduct type testing on electric motors according to relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC 60034 series) and customer specifications.
  9. Perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests to verify the design characteristics and capabilities of the motor.
  10. Develop and implement routine testing procedures for electric motors to ensure ongoing performance and reliability.
  11. Conduct routine tests on motor samples or production batches to monitor key parameters such as insulation resistance, winding resistance, insulation quality, vibration levels, and temperature rise.
  12. Maintain test equipment and instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  13. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to address any quality issues or non-conformities identified during Motor Inspection &  testing
  14. Interpret and evaluate results of PT, MT, RT, LT, VT and UT tests.
     

Qualification and experience

BE Mechanical Graduate with 12+ years of  relevant experience of routine and type testing of electric motors

Knowledge / skills required

  •  Knowledge of International Electrotechnical Commission IEC 60034 series
  •  Knowledge of Electric Motor Mechanical and Electrical Inspections & processes
