Summary of Job description

  1. Handle Settlement of Subcontracting rates/revisions related to Pune based 3 plants and give support to WPD Sinnar plant for rate revision proposals.
  2. Responsible for all activities related to Subcontracting cost calculations, comparison and commercial negotiations and approval through S/C Purchase Committee process.
  3. Manage rate negotiations, commercial terms and establishment of long-term frame agreements wherever applicable.
  4. Responsible for rate revalidation and comparison with IED working as per governing time lines.
  5. Carry out Item wise cost sheet model finalization and getting approval from committee.
  6. Identify capable vendor in S/C& send RFQ’s & release of S/C purchase orders through SAP
  7. Responsible for adherence to S/C rate finalization & approval SOP.
  8. Release of S/C purchase orders in SAP.
  9. Co-ordinate with other departments to like Operations, PMPS, Controlling, Quality, assembly for Subcontracting commercial activities.
  10. Monitor Open Subcontracting PR’s & ensure timely conversion of PR to PO’s for Classical Items as per specified time line for IPD.
  11. Responsible for ensuring timely maintenance of INFO records, Source list, mass data updation, PIP/PRP, etc. in SAP.
  12. Responsible for preparation of monthly subcontracting MIS data related to rate settlement, rate validation etc.

Qualification and experience

- BE Mechanical with minimum 15 years of  relevant experience in subcontracting activities 
- Experience in costing & negotiation is also required.

  • Knowledge of subcontracting and process flow, rate negotiation,  commercial terms & finalization.
