Summary of Job description

1. Testing Electrical Connections: Check the integrity of electrical connections, including terminals, wiring, and cable connections, to ensure they are secure and properly insulated to prevent electrical faults or hazards. 
2.  Measuring Electrical Parameters: Use mustimeters and insulation resistance testers to measure key electrical parameters like voltage, current, resistance, and insulation resistance. And to assess the motor's electrical performance and identify any abnormalities or potential issues.
3.  Inspecting Windings: Examine the motor windings for signs of overheating, insulation degradation, or physical damage, which can affect the motor's efficiency and reliability.
4.  Check Alignment and Balance: Verify the alignment and balance of motor components such as the rotor and shaft to prevent mechanical stress, vibration, and premature wear, which can impact motor performance and lifespan. 
5.  Assessing Motor Performance: Running performance tests such as no-load and load tests to evaluate the motor's efficiency, power consumption, and operating characteristics under different operating conditions.
6.  Maintain Records: Maintain records of inspection findings, test results, and repairs performed on the induction motors for documentation.
7.  Communicate quality problems reported during manufacturing to Engineering and Purchase. 
8.  Conduct Root Cause Analysis of nonconformities & Report.
    

Qualification and experience

- BE (Electrical) with 9 to 10 years of relevant experience in similar / relevant industries

Knowledge / skills required

• Knowledge of Inspection of Electric Motor

Functional / Technical Competencies

• Knowledge International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) IEC 60034 series aspects related to rotating electrical machines, including induction motors
•  Knowledge of Motor Electrical Inspections & processes.
