Assistant Manager

Summary of Job description

1. Plan & control activities of NDT especially RT and LP.
2. Liaise with TPI and service provider in the field of NDT.
3. Review offer list w.r.t. compliance to quality requirement insisted by customer.
4. Responsible for developing NDT technique sheets. 
5. Prepare Rejection analysis and defect map and hand it over to development to ensure no re-occurrence.
6. Evaluate casting defects for minor / major and approve welding plans for major welding.
7. Coordinate for development & inspection of new components and regular product on sampling basis.
8. Take decision in consultation with supervisor on deviations reported by inspectors / production department.
9. Responsible for submission of test certificate to customer.
10. Create X2 and X3 notification in the system for any observed deviations.
11. Ensure smooth functioning of inspection activity in consultation with supervisor.

Qualification and experience

Diploma (Mechanical) with 10 to 12 years of experience in the relevant field

Knowledge / skills required

• Basic Knowledge of MS Office
• BARC approved radiographer
• Qualification to PT-level-II, MP-level-II and RT-level-II 
• Planning and coordination 

Functional / Technical Competencies

• Basic knowledge of Metallurgy and Metrology. 
• Knowledge of National and International standards ASTM / ASME.
• Knowledge of SAP – QM module.
